Our Mission
Discovering life in the power of God’s grace and sharing His life-changing grace with others.
Our Vision
1. Participating in Spiritual Formation
We envision and pray that each person at PSBC will be engaged in the journey of being
formed in the image of Christ through the process of whole-life discipleship with other
believers. (Romans 8:29; 2 Cor 3:18, Luke 6:40).
We affirm that to be formed into the image of Christ requires individual spiritual
practices like personal Bible meditation, prayer, confession, self-denial, and service. It
also requires the help of spiritual people in a home group characterized by faithfulness,
transparency and genuine biblical friendship and love. We are committed at PSBC to
the spiritual participation of each member in those activities and ministries best suited to
help him or her discover life in the power of God’s grace. As a church, we envision
equipping members in their spiritual practices, ensuring that every person receives love,
care and instruction in a home group, and creating an environment rich in opportunities
for participation in the life we share in Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.
2. Pursuing Diversity
God created every person in His own image (Genesis 1:27). Heaven will be filled with
people from every nation, tribe, people, and language (Revelation 7:9). Christ brings us
together as one body through the cross, breaking down all barriers and hostility.
(Ephesians 2:14-16).
We desire to see our church be intergenerationally, ethnically, and socioeconomically
diverse in order to be a reflection of God’s heart for all peoples. We have the opportunity
to create an environment where people can belong by reaching out to those in our
community and work places from all walks of life, inviting them to discover and share life
at Park Springs.
3. Growing in Emotional and Relational Health
Dealing with our baggage Biblically, authentically, and responsibly.
(Matt. 11:28-30, John 15:12, 1 Peter 2:2, 2 Peter 3:18, Romans 5)
4. Reaching out in Mission
We have been given the ministry of Reconciliation by God (2 Cor. 5:18), therefore each
person is charged to take the message of Jesus into the places God has placed them,
with both their words and actions (Acts 1:8). God’s plan is global and we get to
participate in telling the message of Jesus both in our own communities but also to
places all over the world where people do not know Jesus (Matthew 28:18-20).
5. Joining together in Worship
Cultivating an inviting environment for people to encounter the Trinity.
(Colossians 3:12-16, Hebrews 10:25, Ephesians 4:2-6, 1 Peter 4:10, Psalm 100)
